Roman baths

The archaeological evidences, emerged during the construction works in the courtyard of the Archbishops seminary, showed the foundations of a large civil building of the Roman period, which appeared to be a thermae structure.

The centrally planned building had curved walls at the end of the two arms making up the Greek cross and four apses at their intersection. In the  North-West corner a volume with three rooms, one of them beeing a pool.

The virtual reconstruction was developed with the supervision of the local Department of Antiquities.
